All the beer tasting made us peckish, and Williamsburg is full of great places to eat. I’ve been to The Bedford on Beford before and it was great, so we decided to try it again.
It was busy when we came in, so we waited at the bar for 15 minutes while they prepared our table.
When I say we waited, clearly I mean we ordered mimosas and bellini’s to start.
We were seated pretty quickly at the back of the restaurant and left to peruse the menu.
They have great choices here, without there being too much on the menu. I almost tried something new, and then reverted back to what I had last time. The pulled pork hash is so delicious and I can’t event work out why. It’s a gorgeous pile of pulled pork, potatoes and peppers cooked in a spicy oil, and topped with two fried eggs. You also get toast on the side with has been brushed with the oil. My eggs were a little on the runny side last time, so I asked for them over easy.
Knowing how delicious the dish was, Jack and Emily ordered the same thing.
And promptly finished every morsel.
Emily and I were absolutely stuffed, but Jack was still hungry so asked to see the menu again. This time he chose the truffle egg toast, which he said he thoroughly enjoyed.
I recommend the Bedford if you’re in Williamsburg. Reasonable prices, great food and a nice atmosphere.
