Advert of the week – Nike

The ‘Just Do It’ campaign has to be almost unbeatable in terms of recognisability and longevity. This one simple tagline has carried Nike for a while now. They use it as their umbrella, laddering all of their activity up to this.

‘Better For It’ is an ad I saw a while a ago that I really loved that I felt refreshed the Just Do It in the new light of the emerging popularity of an active and healthy lifestyle. I also really connected with it.

On the back of this, my advert of the week is Nike’s new ad, ‘Snow Day’ that plays into both of the above. Overall Nike do a great job of giving one overarching message in little bursts that connect with different people.

This ad also introduced me to the female boss that is Lauren Fisher. Look her up, you’ll be impressed.
